Frequently Asked Questions
This crystal engraving software FAQ answers common questions about using CrystalMe3D Pro to convert photos into detailed, engraving-ready results.
If your have additional questions, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
How much does it cost?
For a basic single machine license, it’s $159 per year. A license for up to 3 machines is $229/year. A business license for up to 15 machines is $399 per year. If you need licenses for more than 15 machines, please contact us.
Our prices are subject to change at any time. If you purchase a license while it is currently on sale, you will keep the price of your license as long as it remains active – Which means the price of your subscription will never increase even if our prices change.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, there are no hidden fees. Once you purchase the license, you can use the software as much as you want and process as many images you need.
Do I need to be an artist to use the software?
No, we designed the software so it’s simple for everyone to use. Simply adjust the sliders and preview the output before exporting. What you see in the output is how it will export in the format of your choice.
I lost my license, how can I retrieve it?
You can view your license information at anytime by logging into your account and going to your “My Account” page. There you’ll see a section called “Licenses” which shows all your active license information.
Do I need an internet connection to use CrystalMe3D Pro?
No, the software does not need the internet to be used. However, it does periodically need to verify license information so we recommend staying connected whenever possible.
Will the software work with my laser machine?
Yes, we built our software so you can export the file to just about any file format you would need. You can export as .STL, .OBJ, .XYZ, .DXF, .PLY, and .CAD (OpenScad).
How can I get help if needed?
If you need additional help, feel free to contact us at anytime. Please note though that we currently do not offer services to convert your photos for you.
How can I get better results with the 3D point cloud/model?
For best results, we recommend using high quality/resolution photos. Photos that are blurry, poor contrast, overexposed, or have a small subject with a large background might not produce the best results. Tools such as Photoshop may be helpful to make certain adjustments to your images prior to importing them.
Are the photos I load in the software private?
Yes. All images you import in the software are stored ONLY on your local computer as the software does not need the internet to process anything. Which means all of your photos are kept 100% private.
Can I get a refund if I no longer need CrystalMe3D Pro?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for partially used software. You are purchasing the license for the entire year and won’t be refunded even if you only use the software for 2 weeks.
Can I use the software on multiple computers?
Yes. Even if you purchase the single license for 1 machine, you can deactivate the license for that computer temporarily and switch to another computer. Although, for the single license, only 1 machine can be activated at a time.
What are the minimum system requirement?
Minimum Requirements
- Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Intel i5 or equivalent
- 8 GB RAM
- Integrated GPU with OpenGL 4.1+
- 512 MB video memory
- 4 GB free disk space
Recommended
- Intel i7 / Ryzen 7 or higher
- 16 GB RAM
- Dedicated GPU (2 GB VRAM or higher)
- SSD
Note:
Older integrated graphics may not fully support all features. If you experience issues, please check your computer specs first and make sure all drivers are up to date.
I bought a new computer so I need to transfer the license. How do I do that?
To transfer your license to a new computer, simply go into the license manager within the software and deactivate it on the current machine. You can then input the same license on your new computer.
Does the software work on both Windows and Mac?
Currently our software is only available on Windows. We are currently working on a Mac version so please check back soon.
Why can’t I export very large models as spheres or certain formats?
Some export formats, such as STL spheres, generate significantly more geometry than others. In these modes, each point is converted into a full 3D mesh, which can result in tens of millions of triangles and extremely large file sizes. To prevent crashes or performance issues on most systems, limits are applied to these export types.
For high-density models, we recommend using formats like STL (quads) or OBJ (points), which are much more efficient and can handle millions of points more reliably.
How can I request a feature?
If you have a feature request, please use the contact us form and be as specific as possible. We value every input and suggestion for future updates.
How do I submit a bug report?

Before submitting a bug report, ensure your system meets the minimum requirements, as older or lower-spec systems may cause performance-related issues.
